Beautiful cast iron teapot, exactly as pictured and described. Keeps heat and love the strainer inside so we can use loose tea.

Let me start off by saying this is my first cast iron teapot. I absolutely love it. The design and size are perfect. It doesn't drip after the pour like ceramic teapots I've had in the past and it keeps my tea warmer longer. I haven't had any problems with rust like I've heard is common. I wash it and dry it thoroughly after each use. Did I mention that the cost was a quarter of similar pots I had seen before making this purchase. I would definitely purchase from enjoyingtea.com again.

Cast iron tea pot
The pot with 2 cups came in early, i took it out of the box to see what it looked like and it's very nice looking, heavy and sturdy and a great size, i bought 2 more matching cups to go with it! Can't wait to use it!

Perfect for two or three
The pot is beautiful we get tons of complements when people come over. It is functional and pretty. The cast iron cups do get hot, but as soon as they are cool enough to carry, the tea is a perfect temperature. Cast Iron tends to rust, but as long as you take care of it, the pot will take care of your tea needs.

Shogun Tea Set
I have this set in my office where I do therapy and often offer clients a cup of tea during our sessions. It is beautiful and keeps the tea warm for a long period of time. I also purchased the cast iron warmer, which is an attractive way to warm for an even longer period of time.

Good, but the inside peeled a little.
I've used it several times but after just a couple of uses the inside of it peeled of a little. I still use it all the time.

Great teapot, but it's not a Tetsubin.
This little cast iron teapot is more appropriately called an "iron kyushu" or "iron teapot". Because of the enamel glaze, the iron does not really react with the tea to create the classic tetsubin "richness", and the teapot cannot be used to boil water. That being said, it is an excellent, sturdy and convenient vessel for brewing tea, especially with the strainer basket included. It's a great little teapot, and the thing appears like it will last forever if taken care of properly. It warms evenly and quickly and stays warm for a long time. My only other observation is that the little cups, being iron themselves, get hotter than the tea itself, it seems. I've found them impractical for use, as the heat retention is excellent and the cups just remain too hot to pick up comfortably. If you're looking for a solid, practically-sized teapot for brewing and serving that you can pass down to other generations, this is a good choice. If you're looking for a real tetsubin that you can boil water in, etc., look elsewhere.

Great Tea Set
When the tea set arrived i opened it to find a great little tea pot. In the beginning i was concerned by the size and how much tea it would hold. However, while making my tea i discovered how much tea it could really facilitate. This is a purchase i am happy i made. I will be returning to buy in the future.

This is a great tea set for those getting into tea drinking and want an affordable set to have tea with a friend. The designs on this pot are a work of art and the functionality is near perfect. I highly recommend anyone who likes this style of tea pots to get this one, or any of the different colors they offer here.
