Chun Mee Green Tea
Item Number: TGC08
Chun Mee Green Tea is produced in China and referred by the Chinese as “Precious Eyebrows”. The leaves are carefully hand rolled to the shape of eye-brows and then pan-fired. This tea produces a pale yellowish liquid and is known for its plum-like sweetness and smoothness. We offer a special grade Chun Mee that yields more smoothness than the standard grades. Free shipping with purchase over $60.

Just a wonderful, light tea for those times when blacks are a little too heavy.

Nice Tea

This is a nice green tea. It has the earthy flavor. I prefer Jasmine or Mango but wanted to try it. It is a nice change.

Not impressed.

I bought this for my husband, but I did have some of it with him. We followed the water temperature guide that came with the order, but the tea was quite a bit stronger in flavor that it is in aroma. This particular tea tastes sort of like overcooked spinach and bitter herbs. We loved everyrhing else that we purchases. I'm sure there are many of you who will like this tea, but it just isn't for us.

Fairly strong

This is my daily morning tea. I like that it has a fairly strong flavor. It is not subtle or grassy but fairly bold and a tiny bit bitter (which I actually quite enjoy.) I brew it for a full 3 minutes at 180 degrees. Brewing it for less time definitley reduces the bitterness.

So good...kind of tastes like hops

This tea is so good. When brewed at recommended temps, I find the Chun Mee has an pleasantly pungent initial flavor, and finishes with an incredibly awesome aftertaste reminiscent of hops...so refreshing.

Chung Mee Green Tea
June 21, 2012
I received this the originally as a free sampler with an order a few months back. I liked it, but still wasn't sure of it but I ordered it any way. I like i well enough that I will be ordering this on a regular basis. The taste is such that I do not become bored with it as with other teas.

Standard Chinese Green
June 17, 2012
Appearance: leaves are small, gently rolled slate gray-green. They do look like greenish eyebrows (the name). They become much greener after steeping but lose their shape. Liquor: yellow with green tints. It is a warmer yellow on second infusion. Smell: smoky, earthy, but still green tea. I think it smells like a lot of other Chinese greens. (On just smell alone, I usually prefer the overt vegetal notes of a Japanese green.) Taste: The taste is nice and mellow, with only some bitterness. It is less sweet than other teas, and the smoky notes of the smell come through – and become stronger as it cools. When it very first hits the palate there is a vegetal (dark leafy green) taste, but that tends to fade into a lingering astringency and smoky aftertaste. The second infusion is even smoother and smokier. (Some chun mee teas are said to have a plum flavor and I don’t get that at all). It’s not my favorite green tea but this is pleasant enough. 6/10

I originally got this as a free sample in an earlier order. I liked it so much that I ordered some later. The best way I can describe the flavor is mixing Pingshui Gunpowder green tea with Sencha. It has a wonderful green tea flavor with a slight smokiness to it.

Chun Mee Green Tea is somewhat bold in flavor and my choice with meals. Brewed for 2 minutes in 180 deg. water the first brew is quite strong with the second and third brews mellowing out.

Everyday Green
February 3, 2012
I picked this tea as a sample. Its very good. I consider it a stronger tasting green tea. Excellent for everyday drinking. I will definitely reorder as a staple tea. It has a sweet aroma but a vegetable flavor with no sweetness. At 3 minutes steep time it is slightly bitter on the sides of my tongue. I will try 2:45 for the next pot. Excellent in Yixing tea ware.

I have tried many of varieties of green tea, but I drink this on a daily basis. It has a strong almost smokey flavor that is slightly sweet and smooth. You can't beat it for the price.
